Privacy Policy

- DATA WE COLLECT
JobJob does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our servers.
All data generated by the extension — your keywords, platform preferences, check
interval, discovered job listings, and seen-job history — is stored exclusively
in your browser’s local storage (chrome.storage.local) on your own device.
- CV / RESUME ANALYSIS
If you choose to upload a PDF resume, the following happens: a. Text is extracted from the PDF locally in your browser using PDF.js.
Your PDF file never leaves your device. b. The extracted text is sent via HTTPS POST to kentseo.io/jobjob/analyze.php,
which calls the Anthropic Claude API server-side using the site owner’s key.
Your CV text is used only to generate the analysis and is not stored or
logged on our server beyond the current request. c. The server returns a structured profile (job titles, skills, experience level)
to the extension. This profile is stored locally in chrome.storage.local on
your device and is never sent back to our servers. d. To prevent abuse, each installation is rate-limited to 3 CV analyses per day.
A 16-character anonymous hash derived from your extension’s install timestamp
is used as the rate-limit key. This hash is not linked to any personal
information and cannot identify you. - WHAT IS NEVER STORED ON OUR SERVERS
• Your CV text or PDF file
• Your name, email, or any personal information
• Your keywords or job search preferences
• The job listings you view or click - JOB PLATFORM REQUESTS
Job listings are fetched through our proxy at kentseo.io/jobjob/proxy.php.
Only the platform name is included in these requests (e.g. ?platform=remoteok).
No user data, keywords, or identifiers are transmitted. - UPWORK API KEYS
If you choose to use Upwork integration and enter your own API credentials,
those keys are stored only in chrome.storage.local on your device.
They are sent directly from your browser to upwork.com and are never
transmitted to our servers. - ANALYTICS & TRACKING
JobJob contains no analytics, crash reporting, usage tracking, or telemetry
of any kind. - DATA DELETION
All local data can be deleted at any time via “Clear All Jobs” in the
extension popup, or by removing the extension from Chrome. Removing the
extension deletes all locally stored data. No data on our server requires
deletion as CV text is never stored. - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The extension interacts with:
• Job platforms (RemoteOK, We Work Remotely, Himalayas, Freelancer, Dribbble,
Upwork) — subject to their respective privacy policies
• Anthropic API (via our server proxy) — your CV text is processed under
Anthropic’s privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not retain
